We are at the Queens Park Savannah where the Panorama Semi-finals is taking place. Many of the bands are already here and anxiously awaiting their turn to perform on stage. We are interviewing some of the movers and shakers within these bands. We are here with Mr. Aquil Arrindell De Caires, Arranger and Captain of San City Steel Symphony.

TRINBAGOPAN: Mr. Arrindell De Caires , what has it been like for you all in terms of preparations for Panorama 2006?

AQUIL: Hectic.

TRINBAGOPAN: Who is the manager of the band?

AQUIL: The manager of the band is Mr. Anthony De Caires. He is more responsible for the overall structure of the band.

TRINBAGOPAN: Do you all have any plans for the band after Panorama 2006?

AQUIL: San City Steel Symphony is a band that functions right through the year. The band has been doing that for about ten years now.

TRINBAGOPAN: Where is the band located?

AQUIL: We are located on Carib Street down San Fernando. We are from the San Fernando City Corporation. We are a small unit made up of San Fernando City Corporation members. We grew from strength to strength and here we are today.

TRINBAGOPAN: As a young captain and arranger, do you have any advice for the younger people out there?

AQUIL: There are a lot of positive things out there for the youths to get involved with, like sports and culture. I think once they get involved with these positive groups we would have a better Trinidad and Tobago.

TRINBAGOPAN: Thank you.
