Christmas Season 2005 kicked into high gear yesterday at the Brian Lara Promenade, with a free concert sponsored by the of the Ministry of Education through the Pan in the Classroom Unit in collaboration with Pan Trinbago. Performances included this year's winners of The 13th Biennial National Junior Steelpan Music Festival 2005 together with the Junior Parranderos and Parranderas.

The pan segment featured winners in the Under 13, 16, and 21 orchestra categories. These are: Tamana Primary Steelpan Workshop, Diego Martin Boys RC, St. Margaret Boys AC, CLICO Sforzata Juniors, Bishops Anstey/Trinity College East, Sangre Grande Junior Secondary, Exocubs, Golden Hands and Arima United Schools.

"A Christmas Treat of Steel and Parang", showcased each band performing its winning Festival selection and a Christmas tune of their choice.
