here we go again.. kicked to the curb...a people gifted with the ability to compose, create, interprit and give to the world an instrument that everyone wants to control..an african, living in america is now so shocked that 40% OF OUR MUSICIANS dont read music...africans travel the world over performing to gasping audiences..
they dont read music..do they? trinbagonians have so much to offer the world in the form of music and our selfcreated culture. our music needs to be professionally marketed and our national instrument vigouriously protected. music begins in the mind of the true musician...the score is just a record.
PAN..we stand up to perform ..and it is impossible, given the confinment of the shape size and octaves that we have to deal with as a panist to read and plaY AT THE SAME TIME.
WE HAVE OUR OWN MUSIC TO OFFER THE WORLDthe average trinbagonian would not consider himself an african..we is trini.
