HONORING THE STEELBAND

Perhaps if Mr. eddie hart could get his colleagues in Parliament to pass an Act of Parliament to make the steelpan the national instrument that would be a statring point on the road to memorialising the steelband movement. Or maybe Mr. Hart and the Minister of Culture can stop the sponsoring gimmickery and set up a national steelband fund to support the steelband movement throughout the year instead of only during carniaval time. Or maby they could build a large monument in tribute to the steelpan at Piarco Airport for all to see that indeed Trinbago is the land of the steelband.
