republic day panorama

i find it very distatseful that the so-called organisers of the republic day panorama have yet to establish a stable date for the event as well as a location. when i think of the effort and the committment that is being displayed by everyone (especially the school children) with the exception of those in authoratative positions i am deeply disheartened because as always, it appears that the only real people who care about sustainale development within the steelpan fraternity are the players and other respective band leaders. the worse part is that the people who care do not possess the resources that our so-called leaders have in respect to the development of pan.i urge those responsible to please read an article by Earl Lovelace entiltled "the almost loss of pan," his novel"salt" as well as a copy of Pat Bishops' speech at the handing-over ceremony at Skiffle bunch panyard. those are a few that readily come to mind. needless to say, the goodwill of pantrinbago appears to be once-again sloppy...something that we, the musicians have been growing increasingly accustomed to! time to get serious.
