New tickets for Panorama

PAN Trinbago's plans for failsafe ticket administration, a bugbear of past Panorama final night management, collapsed on Thursday when it became clear the organisation would not be getting the specially-ordered tickets in time for tonight's final.
Officials quickly secured new printing arrangements with a local firm to ensure tickets would be available to meet orders that were already stacking up at Pan Trinbago's Ticket Administration Centre. The tickets were eventually distributed yesterday afternoon and will be available at the Queen's Park Savannah from 8 a.m. today.
"If anyone had even suggested the possibility of this problem, I would have laughed it away," said an irate Pan Trinbago president Patrick Arnold yesterday. "We did all that was required of us to secure these special tickets and heard it would come by FedEx and all kinds of means, but from where we stood Wednesday, it looked like they might arrive at the same time the first band is due on stage.
"We settled on a deal from a Canadian firm that guaranteed foolproof tickets and also vowed to deliver them since a date earlier this month but still, the problem arose so we had to revert to a local printer to get the tickets done in time for the Panorama final," Arnold said.
