Panyard judging continues: Prelims on Tonight

Three steel orchestras from San Fernando and one from Enterprise, Chaguanas will tonight comprise the south/central large band bids for semi-final slots in Panorama’s conventional category.

In the north zone, six medium-sized conventional orchestras will play for the judges and in the east, a similar number will perform in the small-band category, Simultaneously, the 11 remaining single-pan bands in the north-central zone, nine in the east and four in south-central will also strut their stuff before separate adjudication panels.

All judging begins at 7 p.m. and bands will play in the following order:

South-Central Conventional Large Bands/ Tune
1. Tropical Angel Harps/ "Pan on the Road" – Jit Samaroo
2. Petrotrin Hatters/ "In the Savannah" – Hollis/Orville Wright
3. TCL Skiffle Bunch/ "War 2004" – de Fosto
4. NLCB Fonclaire/ "War 2004" – de Fosto
